Connecting the last 20 percent of Americans

We’re less than a month away from the Connect20 Summit! Hosted in partnership with the National Digital Inclusion Alliance (NDIA) and Broadband Breakfast, the Connect20 Summit will bring together policymakers, digital equity advocates, and partners leading the way on digital adoption.

But you may be asking: why Connect20? What does it mean?

According to NTIA’s Internet Use Survey data, nearly 20% of Americans do not have a home broadband connection, and many of these households are unconnected despite the availability of a high-speed connection. There are many reasons for this, ranging from affordability to gaps in knowledge or digital skills.

We are amid a once-in-a-generation opportunity to connect all Americans to robust high-speed broadband. That’s why Network:On is focusing on connecting the unconnected – by highlighting the important role that trusted community members, acting as digital navigators, can play in getting their communities online.

The Connect20 Summit will showcase these efforts and equip partners with tools to increase adoption rates even further.
