Network:On was thrilled to sponsor the 2023 State of the Net conference! Over the past year, we’ve worked to celebrate America’s Excellent Internet and tell the story of how massive investment, innovation, and engineering work together to connect us all.
At State of the Net, we connected with some of the leaders shaping the Internet’s future and emphasized how crucial the next few months will be to connect every American. As billions of dollars are spent on broadband equity, access, and deployment, Network:On will highlight efforts to overcome the barriers to broadband adoption.
Nearly 1 in 5 American households is not online, and those households are from disproportionately low-income, BIPOC, and rural populations. We now have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to connect all Americans to the benefits of robust, high-speed broadband – let’s get it right, and let’s connect the unconnected.
In our quest to help close the digital divide, we were excited to attend the “Achieving Digital Equity: Filling In The Adoption Gaps” panel at State of the Net. Panelists emphasized that to get everyone connected, we need to meet them where they are, address inequalities, and show them how broadband can help meet other needs in their lives. Closing the adoption gap is our nation’s next great challenge.
